the weekend was awesome. it was fun to hang out in columbia and meet new people.

the shins were pretty good live. i didn’t really pay attention to all the bands. usually i feel like i should, to get my money’s worth. but i was on the guestlist, SUCKAS.

it’s still really cool that we were able to do that.

we went to some random party after the show and felt really out of place with all the crazy scene trendy kids. no one talked to us and we didn’t talk to anyone, so we ended up just kind of standing around, making fun of them, and then leaving to get tacos.

in other news: the boys introduced me to the movie “happiness” this weekend. it’s pretty funny.

hardee’s memories

the other night at work this drunk man came through the drive thru and was just talking and being really weird. he saw one of my other co-workers and just yelled, “HEY!! ARE YOU IN THE PITS?!” and he just kept trying to talk to me, and eventually i just let the window slide closed.

when i handed him his change, he said he was going to sit there and have his feelings hurt.

and then, when i went to get his stuff my co-workers and i were talking about how we thought one of us knew him because of how he was acting. and then when i handed out his food he was like, “to answer all three of your questions, no, i dont know any of you. i’m just a happy go lucky motherfucker.”

and then he said, “sorry to bother you all.”

i love middle aged emotional drunk men.

ain’t no thang

last night i bailed on some friends that i was going to hang out with because as soon as i learned they were playing monopoly and scattergories i suddenly decided that i didn’t want to hang out.

i can only handle board games when my sister forces me to play with the family during holidays.

so we went to denny’s instead, and to keep up with our tradition of listening to something interesting on the drive, we went through my room mate’s collection of bad cd’s and got RAMMSTEIN. it was pretty hilarious to say the least.

after we got back, i was just going to go to bed but ended up going out for a few beers and a movie at 1am.

my room mate and her boyfriend came in the room this morning (afternoon) while i was sleeping. later, after they left, i turned over in my bed and saw that they had put one of her boots in my bed with me and it was just kind of funny.

it’s awesome how she is never here because i don’t have to worry about waking her up when i get in late and i can have people over at all hours. but sometimes i wonder if she just stays with her boyfriend all the time because she secretly hates me.

fridayfriday

so we watched my horror flick about those killer frogs earlier this week.

the frogs don’t kill anyone, all the other amphibians do, but they cut to scenes of frogs just hopping and sitting every other scene.

i guess the frogs did kill someone–the helpless man who fell out of his wheelchair at the end.

the movie ended with the frogs just jumping onto him, and then a shot of the house from the outside with the lights going out.

in other news: crystal and i went out to eat earlier this week and saw a man that looks like mr. cunningham from happy days. we could not look away.

it was funny because she was mid-sentence when she said, “OH MY GOD THAT GUYS LOOKS LIKE THE DAD FROM HAPPY DAYS” and all time stood still.

it doesn’t matter which fast food chain you work in, you’ll still get people that dont know how to use a standard drive thru.

break

i recently added to my bad movie collection with these classics:

Howling III – the marsupials (horrible horrible!)

Frogs (killer frogs)

Trick or Treat (starring ozzy osbourne and gene simmons).

i watched the marsupials with my neighbor last night and it was sooo bad i loved it. everyone needs to understand my love of horrid movies. i am sad that i haven’t been able to watch some of the other ones i bought recently because my room mate took the dvd player to her boyfriend’s apartment.

anyway, after that great movie viewing my boyfriend came over and we watched his video of nothing but guns n roses music videos! and then we watched the royal tenenbaums again. it was a great movie viewing night.

today i made my schedule for next semester. here are my classes:

intro to philosophy

spanish I

american lit beginnings to 1865

creative writing: poetry

creative writing: creative nonfiction

time to continue writing a term paper. good times.

halloween super fun party time

halloween is always nice.

i was an 80s hair band lover. my boyfriend was johnny cash. it was mighty impressive.

we went to this kind of lame party and drank a lot of beer. there was a guy dressed as “party boy” from jackass, in a little speedo and sparkly bow tie. another guy was dressed as a big baby. there were many impressive costumes. one girl was dressed as christina aguilera, and that was just funny.

like usual, i found something to steal from the party. usually i take little things that i can keep in my purse and just pull out randomly to impress the masses. i’m not sure how i feel about keeping a spatula in my purse though.

we came back to my room and did some drunk coloring book coloring last night. needless to say, the pictures are amazing!
